The “Smart Panel” product when incorporated into a specific flooring system offers many benefits and opportunities other flooring systems fail to provide.  By incorporating the “Smart Panel” into the flooring system you have provided the owner a greater opportunity to salvage a potentially lost flooring system due to moisture and humidity issues associated with changes in the environment due to HVAC or even a ruptured pipe.

The only true way to thoroughly dry the maple surface is from underneath the maple itself. If the maple is nailed directly to the plywood panels as in a 2 layer plywood system you lose the option of forcing air between the elements of the flooring system.

By including the “Smart Panel” into the system you provide a void area between the maple and the “Smart Panel”. This allows the possibility  to move air between the two elements of flooring and reduce the moisture issue. By reducing the moisture in the flooring system you provide an opportunity to reduce “Cupping” and extreme expansion issues associated with moisture damage.

The “Smart Panel” system also has an optional C.A.V. “Drying / Blower” system available that operates automatically  by utilizing moisture sensors placed in specific locations throughout the flooring system controlled by a computer panel. This system can be added to any “Smart Panel” flooring system during the installation process or later if the need arises.
